PROBLEMS WITH THE LAN NETWORK ............| index ^ |

Unlike the other distros, Linux Musa uses default settings for static IP with a network set in

standard mode. Before installing, check these settings in order to download updates from the

internet. You also need to check the sources.list file and modify the repository paths if necessary.

If you have a router that uses DHCP, i.e. an automatic configuration mode, you must delete the old

connection and create a new one by following the steps below and keeping in mind that some

routers need some reboots and refreshes to communicate properly with Linux Musa.

I try to summarize all the short steps:

1. Right click on the network tray icon and disable the network

2. enter the network properties and remove all existing connections

3. Turn the router off and on again

4. Right click on the network icon in the system tray and enable it

5. left click on the network icon in the system tray and choose the "auto eth" setting

6. it should now work - check your browser

7. if it doesn't work, open the network settings and make sure that the right mac address and

possibly the right DNS is selected there.

8. to find the mac adress of the lan card you have to go to the shell commands promp (you can find

it on the accessories menu) and give the command "ls pci"

WI-FI, THETEERING & BONDING ............| index ^ |

For problems with Wi-Fi, follow the same procedure on the previous page, taking care to restart

both the router and the PC connection to ensure correct recognition of the devices.

Delete previous connections and create a new one as described above.

If you want to use your Smart Phone as a router, you need to enable Thetering Usb from a mobile

phone and then configure the connection from a PC.

With bonding, multiple connections can be used simultaneously to obtain a more powerful one (e.g.

LAN + Smartphone router)
